The National Moot Court Competition was organised by Alliance Moot Court Committee (AMCC) on 29th and 30th of October 2021 witnessing a participation of twenty-two teams from across the country.
Opening ceremony of the competition took place on 29th October 2021, in presence of following dignitaries:
- Hon’ble Justice N. Santosh Hegde, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India
- Hon’ble Justice K.N. Phanendra, Former Judge, High Court of Karnataka
- Hon’ble Justice Venugopal Gowda, Former Judge, High Court of Karnataka
- Mr. Abhay G. Chebbi, Pro Chancellor, Alliance University
- Dr. Anubha Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Alliance University
- Dr. Punith Cariappa, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Alliance University
- Dr. Kiran Gardner, Dean, Alliance School of Law
Chief Guest of the Event
Justice N. Santosh Hegde blessed the competition with his gracious presence. He enlightened students about the importance of professional ethics in legal profession and mooting for law students.
Hon’ble Justice K.N. Phanendra, and Hon’ble Justice Venugopal Gowda, also shared their valuable insights on the importance of mooting, professional ethics, and the contribution of moot culture in the development of legal professionals over the years.
Winners of National Moot Court Competition 2021
Mahalaxmi G.S., Manoj Arvind P., Mimi Dharshana R. from Tamil Nadu National Law University, Tiruchirappalli were declared as the winners of the competition while Tarun Tripathi, Drishti Rathi, Gitik Chandna from Christ (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR were declared as runners-up.
The competition concluded with positive responses from dignitaries and participants present and exposed future generation of lawyers to best practices of the day followed in court proceedings.
