Industry Internship Program

Students enrolled in the MBA course intern at reputed companies and across key industry sectors to gain direct experience through a field-based assignment. The Industry Internship Program offers academic and professional value addition to a student's learning experience. These include:

  • the application of classroom learning to a company-based study: observational, field-based or as per the requirements of the business organization
  • the development and enhancement of professional skills and personal traits.
  • an increased self-awareness of career options and an identification of the areas of professional specialization in industry.
  • a structured experience of the complexities of the marketplace and an appreciation of professionalism and work-related responsibilities—particularly for student-interns with no prior work experience in a related field.
  • an early exposure to job roles and functional divisions within a business.

Dissertation

Dissertation is an important value addition to the MBA course. The writing of the dissertation simultaneously checks the ability of students to prepare a comprehensive and in-depth report. The dissertation is a research-based capstone subject, which is intended to further stimulate intellectual curiosity and hone the analytical skills of students as well as inculcate in them the rigor and discipline required to tackle and solve complex problems in industry. It is deliberately timed towards the end of the MBA course as the student is meant to draw on input received in all disciplines while writing the dissertation.
