"Vivechana" a Sanskrit phrase, alludes to a deep inquiry and exploration in search of deeper understanding and insight through a contemplative journey. This theme-based annual flagship event of Alliance School of Law, Alliance University, started in the year 2021. The first edition was themed around The New Labour Codes. The second edition discussed on Technology and Law. Speakers included the leaders from top Law firms, Academia, and Industry. Practicing Lawyers, Legal and General counsels, Academicians and students were participants.

The sports industry is going through massive changes in contemporary times. The time has long gone by when sport was only a leisure activity. The laws as they apply to a sport are still evolving and they will remain dynamic, especially as the sport is further commercialized, and influenced by technology, medical and scientific advances. With the advancement of digital technologies, the contours of the sports sector have also transformed. Sport is an activity influenced by a wide variety of laws, including some that make special concessions for sport within their frameworks.

While it is possible to have codes of governance such as the National Sports Code captured in one place, any attempt to build a single sports law is unlikely to succeed or add value. The world has switched to online gaming at a meteoric speed while offline sports still try to maintain their charm. Such changes are also accompanied by numerous legal challenges ranging from labor law issues to contractual issues, intellectual property rights issues, doping and sexual harassment, the list being endless. Therefore, it becomes pertinent in today's time to ponder upon the probable legal discourse that the sports industry awaits in the absence of a consolidated sports law in the country.

The theme of the third edition of Vivechana is to deliberate upon the legal challenges faced by the sports industry at offline and online level. It is the most opportune time that the experts of the field deliberate on the emerging questions, share their perspectives; for the businesses to share their questions and concerns; for the legal professionals to equip themselves with the new tools of the industry.
