Prof. P. Devipriya

Prof. P. Devipriya is pursuing her Ph.D. from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the National Institute of Technology Puducherry.  She holds a Master’s degree in English from the University of Hyderabad. Her research focuses on feminist revisionist writings and retellings of mythology and fairy tales. She seeks to reconstruct societal notions of gender and identity by studying narratives and memory in mythology and children's literature and hopes to create more inclusive spaces for all genders through her research.

Prof. Devipriya has a keen interest in theatre and has taken part in several theatre workshops. She has directed and performed Safdar Hashmi's play Machine along with her team at the University of Hyderabad. Prof. Devipriya has taught courses in communication and ethics to undergraduate students at the National Institute of Technology Puducherry.

Prof. Devipriya has published research articles in various academic journals and has presented her research papers in national and international conferences.
