Ms. Jeevitha Gowda R

Jeevitha Gowda R is pursuing her PhD in Neuroscience and Public Health from Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, Bengaluru. Her thesis has been submitted and is awaiting final evaluation. Her research focuses on developing and validating cognitive tools for early dementia detection, particularly in primary healthcare settings. With a strong interdisciplinary background in psychology, neuroscience, and public health, she is passionate about bridging the gap between research and practical applications to improve cognitive health and mental well-being.

Academic and Professional Expertise

Jeevitha holds a master’s degree in Cognitive Neuroscience from JSS Academy of Higher Education, Mysuru, where she graduated with distinction, ranking among the top three students throughout her program. Her academic journey is complemented by extensive research experience in neuropsychological assessments, EEG, ERP, and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). She has worked as a Research Associate at the DRDO, New Delhi, Centre for Integrative Health and Well-Being (CIHW) and Brighter Minds, where she developed neuroscience-based interventions for cognitive enhancement in both children and adults.

Teaching and Mentorship
As a Guest Lecturer at Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, Jeevitha has taught courses in Biostatistics, and Neurophysiology to undergraduate and postgraduate students. She is skilled in designing course curricula, delivering interactive lectures, and mentoring students in research projects. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes creating engaging and inclusive learning environments that foster critical thinking and practical application of knowledge.
