Dr. Uma Lakshmi Kalakada obtained her Ph.D. in Information Systems from Alliance University. She holds a Master’s degree in Information Technology and Business Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Sciences. She is a Microsoft Certified Professional in ‘Developing Applications with C++ Using Microsoft Foundation Library’. During her entrepreneurial venture in software training, she conducted training programs in C, C++, Win32 API, VC++ and Java for premier software companies in India.

Dr. Uma has over a decade of experience in teaching Information Systems and General Management at postgraduate level as a full-time and visiting faculty. In recent times, she has been providing Consulting services in MIS & Operations for a transaction management company based in California.

A firm believer in continuous learning, Dr. Uma’s recent updates include a certification course in ‘Design Thinking: From Insights to Viability’ from Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Education, and ‘Advanced Certificate Program in Academic Research and Data Analysis’ from IIM Kozhikode. She has been a reviewer in Elsevier’s ABDC ‘A’ category journal in marketing domain and another ABDC, ‘C’ category journal in Knowledge Management domain. Her areas of research interest include Customer Agility, Customer Knowledge Management, Retail, Organizational Resources and Dynamic Capabilities, and Higher Education.
