Dr. Syed Alay Hashim

Dr. S. A. Hashim earned his Ph.D. from the Department of Aerospace Engineering, IIT Kharagpur. His expertise lies in the area of Aerospace with specialization in aircraft and rocket propulsion. During his Ph.D. at IIT Kharagpur, he established systems for processing and testing of hybrid fuel and propellants. He has about over a decade of experience in both teaching and research. His research includes ducted rocket propulsion, micro gas turbine, ramjet, pulsejet engine etc.

Dr. Hashim has published research articles in combustion and propulsion journals such as Combustion and Flame, Propellants, Explosives, Pyrotechnics, Acta Astronautica, Combustion Science and Technology, Journal of Spacecraft and Rockets/AIAA, and so on. His research has direct relevance in development of boron-based high-energy and high-density hybrid fuels and propellants for air-breathing propulsion systems in missile applications.
