Department of Language & Literature

Dr. Shaheen Ebrahimkutty. A.V. serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Language and Literature within the Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. Her primary areas of instruction encompass Cultural Studies, American Literature, Film Studies, Travel Writing, and Contemporary Fiction. She holds a Doctoral degree in Trauma Studies from the University of Kerala, along with an MPhil and B.Ed degree from the same university. Dr. Shaheen has contributed to the academic community through the publication of numerous articles in various journals and by presenting papers at numerous national and international conferences, seminars, and Faculty Development Programs (FDPs).

Since 2017, she has served as a research guide and has successfully supervised several MPhil and Ph.D. scholars under her guidance. Additionally, she holds the position of an International Examiner for Cambridge, U.K, and International Baccalaureate, U.K. Her ongoing research interests encompass Trauma Studies, Children's Literature, Popular Culture, and Film Studies.
