Dr. Mrinmoy Bhattacharjee

Dr. Mrinmoy Bhattacharjee holds an MBA degree in Marketing and doctoral degree in Services Marketing from Assam Central University. He has more than twelve years’ experience in academics and spent a considerable stint in corporate as well. He has been working with ICFAI University for more than 8 ½ years in various academic positions, starting from Junior Faculty Member to Assistant Professor, Sr. Grade. Concurrently, he also shouldered senior level administrative positions in the University, such as Academic Head, Assistant Controller of Examination and Centre Head, to name a few. He also worked with R. K. Degree College and IMS as a Faculty Member for Executive Management Courses. His industry experience was with Reliance Infocom, Bangalore, as Associate in Enterprise Customer Facing Unit (ECFU). His job profile included handling Key Corporate Accounts and he was involved in rolling out Reliance India Mobile, the first commercial CDMA technology mobile phones in India. He has also performed liaison activities with key Government departments and corporates in Bangalore for installation of Digital Loop Converter (DLC) and Optic Fiber Cable (OFC) meant for high speed telecom and internet connectivity. He is a member (Chancellor’s Nominee) in the Board of Management in ICFAI University Nagaland since 2014. He also served a member of Academic Council and Board of Management and Research with ICFAI University. Immediately prior to joining Alliance University, he was working as an Associate Professor in the area of Marketing with T John College, Bangalore.

Dr. Bhattacharjee is a committed researcher and firmly believes that a faculty member in higher education cannot deliver effectively and relevantly without continuously pursuing research in his or her area of interest. He is an active contributor in national and international research journals. His research interest is in the area of Social Marketing and is deeply involved in pursuing research work in this area. He also holds interests in areas such as rural markets in emerging economies and technology leveraged innovative businesses and their sustainability. He has conducted and chaired national level conferences.
