Overview

The Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Capital Markets course provides comprehensive training in the field of capital markets and it has been designed to offer the students advanced lessons in the market of finance, concepts of stocks, commodities, bonds, and other financial instruments in the market, stock exchange for the investors willing to trade, and transaction of financial securities.

The program’s main focus is on familiarizing the students with the function of financial markets and how a country’s economy is affected by them, along with imparting an advanced understanding of computation of stocks and bonds prices.

B. Com. (Hons.) in Capital Markets provides a solid base for learning the basics of major finance & management areas and discipline. Hands-on training on securities trading is another key feature that bolsters prospects and multiple options designed according to the competencies of students prepare the students for the specific sectors or job profiles as per industry needs. In addition to the core curriculum, subjects like communication, analytical skills, and soft skills enhance personality and employability of candidates.

Course Pedagogy

Our practical oriented teaching-learning pedagogy will enhance the learning experience of the students to understand, develop, evaluate the different conceptual theories and hands-on experience in the emerging Financial Market space as well as exposing them to the other functional areas of management. The delivery methodology is student-centered and includes active learning, inquiry, experiential learning, co-operative and participative learning activities. We focus on integration of knowledge, development of critical thinking, problem solving, and performance skills. Students would be able to secure a stable career in India, with attractive salary packages from leading firms in BFSI sector and in case they want to be entrepreneurial, they can set up their own advisory and portfolio management business.

Eligibility


Pre-University/Higher Secondary/10+2 Examinations or equivalent from any recognized Board or Council in any discipline.

Obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the subjects taken in standard 12 or equivalent.

Attendance Requirement

  • Classroom attendance is a compulsory component of the course, and students are expected to attend all scheduled classes.
  • Students are required to maintain a minimum of 75 percent attendance in every single subject of a particular semester, failing which students will not be permitted to appear for the Semester End Examination.
