Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) - Painting and Sculpture

The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) provides the foundation for developing an artistic vision that may enrich culture, commerce, technology, and everyday life. It stands out in its commitment to combining traditional approaches and modern practices as well as a consistent focus on the interaction of art and technology.

In addition to rigorous training in the fine skills of painting, drawing, and sculpture, students gain a rich theoretical perspective from art history, design, psychology, and sociology. Learning goes one step further in the well-equipped art studio as a space for radical experimentation with materials, techniques, and concepts. This experience makes the students able communicators and curators of their discipline apart from being technical masters of their craft.

Students will work closely with faculty, a group of experts, and visiting artists, with many hours of concentrated work devoted to enhancing the development of personal imagination and learning the value of collaboration. From being involved in the beautification of the university and the city to quality internships in organizations in India and abroad, students acquire the entrepreneurial spirit required to make art meaningful, relevant, and commercially viable. They are ready to be absorbed by various sectors like NGOs, media and publishing, government, as well as the burgeoning education industry.
