The Centre of Excellence in Advanced Materials Synthesis focuses on developing novel materials such as 2D materials, metal–organic frameworks, high-entropy alloys, functional polymers, and surface-engineered cutting tools for emerging applications in energy, electronics, catalysis, and sustainability. The centre undertakes cutting-edge research in scalable and green synthesis methods, and in situ characterisation, supported by state-of-the-art facilities. It extends its expertise through industry consultancy, providing material design, testing, and process optimization services, while fostering student internships and training programs to build future-ready researchers. The centre actively pursues collaborative and competitive funding from apex bodies by aligning its research goals with national missions, promoting translational outcomes, and demonstrating strong industrial and societal impact.
