Dr. Sarmistha Nandy

Assistant Professor

Dr. Sarmistha Nandy teaches General Management- Ethics, Indian Social and Political System, Marxist System, Political Economy, Gandhian Perspective of State, Environmental Ethics, Constitutional Provision, Foreign Policy, Psychological aspects of society and Research Methodology. Earlier she taught Indian and Western Philosophical systems in Colleges of Delhi University- Gargi College, Jesus and Mary College and Shyama Prasad Mukherji College.

 She holds her Doctoral degree from University of Delhi, Department of Philosophy on –“Lyotard’s Critique of Meta-narrative Approach to Ethics”. (Continental Western Philosophy). Her Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) degree is from Jadavpur University on Lyotard’s Postmodern Perspectives. She got her Bachelor and Masters Degree both from Jadavpur University. Her specialization includes Ethics (Indian and Western), Postmodernism, Indian Philosophical Schools and Systems, Social and Political Philosophy, Logic, Contemporary thinkers (Indian and Western), Ancient Indian Scriptures, Psychoanalysis.
