B. Tech. in Information Technology – Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality (AR / VR)

Overview

The B. Tech. in Information Technology (AR / VR) blends core IT skills with cutting-edge immersive technologies, preparing students to design and develop interactive digital environments. The programme covers AR / VR development, 3D modelling with Blender, computer graphics, human–computer interaction, and AI-driven immersive applications. Students gain hands-on experience in creating Metaverse-ready environments, developing XR content using Unity, and building applications for devices such as Oculus headsets. With industry projects, simulation labs, and applications spanning gaming, training, education, healthcare, and entertainment, graduates are equipped to innovate in the fast-growing immersive technology sector.

B. Tech. (Regular): Four Years / Eight Semesters.

B. Tech. (Lateral): Three Years Six Semesters.

Eligibility


For Regular

10+2 from recognized Board / Council with Minimum 50% marks in Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational Subject.

Score in JEE (Main); JEE (Advanced); Karnataka CET; COMED-K; AUEET (Alliance Undergraduate Engineering Entrance Test); or any other State-Level engineering entrance examination.


For Lateral Entry

Passed Diploma examination with at least 50% marks in relevant branch of Engineering and Technology.

Passed B. Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 50% marks & passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject.

A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC / ST.

Development of AR / VR applications for medical training, interior design, education, entertainment, and military simulations.

VR applications development for immersive training, simulation, gaming, and interactive experiences.
