Overview

The four-year undergraduate programme in Fashion Design at Alliance University offers a unique educational experience enabling them to become proficient and future ready design professionals. Our holistic curriculum allows each student to acquire discipline specific knowledge and skills within a broad framework of trans-disciplinary learning. Fashion design prepares students for success at every level, from haute couture to ready-to-wear to mass market.

Students are taught various aspects of fashion design including fashion illustration, computer-aided design, draping, pattern making, Apparel construction, sewing techniques, and textiles. Students also gain real-world exposure through hands-on projects, industry collaborations, and internships leading up to a professionally produced graduate runway show.

The fashion design programme equips students to create designs informed by market research and inspired by history, art, and culture, whilst being grounded in the Indian fabric and textile techniques and crafts.
