The process begins with orientation, team formation, and idea generation. In Phase I (Capstone Project I), students conduct literature reviews, define problem statements, assess feasibility, and prepare detailed project proposals. This ensures clarity of objectives and readiness for execution.
In Phase II (Capstone Project II), students implement their design or research model, perform systematic testing, validate performance, and refine solutions through iterative reviews. The project concludes with a final demonstration and viva voce evaluated by academic and external experts.

The Capstone framework integrates Program Outcomes (POs) and Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs), fostering engineering design skills, problem-solving, research aptitude, teamwork, ethical awareness, and societal impact. Students regularly publish their work in reputed international conferences (IEEE, Springer, Elsevier) and Scopus-indexed journals; several teams have also filed patents.

The Course of Independent Study (CIS) is a distinctive 3-credit academic pathway that offers students a valuable opportunity to engage in research-oriented learning through a faculty-mentored project in place of one course within their curriculum. Designed to nurture intellectual curiosity, innovation, and critical thinking, the course enables students to immerse themselves in hands-on research through laboratories, field-based work, or Centres of Excellence. Under close faculty guidance, students identify research problems, pursue structured inquiry, and develop meaningful academic outcomes. Credits are earned through consistent progress, active participation in review milestones, successful completion of the project, and the preparation and submission of a research paper to a Scopus-indexed journal, conference, or other approved scholarly platform—positioning students for early exposure to high-quality research and scholarly contribution.

The industry internship provides BBA Aviation Management students with practical exposure to airline operations, airport management, ground handling, passenger services, cargo operations, and aviation business management. Through supervised industry placements, students gain an understanding of real-world aviation environments and apply the managerial, operational, and analytical concepts learned in the classroom.

The internship enables students to develop industry-relevant skills through exposure to:

• Airline and Airport Operations: Practical understanding of airline operations, airport business processes, passenger handling, terminal management, and ground operations.
• Aviation Business and Management: Exposure to airline finance, revenue management, airport commercial activities, marketing, and operational planning.
• Aviation Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of aviation safety procedures, security protocols, regulatory requirements, and industry compliance practices.
• Cargo and Ground Handling: Exposure to air cargo operations, dangerous goods handling, logistics, and ground service coordination.
• Technology and Digital Systems: Familiarity with aviation management software, airline reservation systems, operational control systems, and digital aviation solutions.
• Professional and Leadership Skills: Development of communication, teamwork, problem-solving, customer service, and decision-making skills in professional aviation environments.

Students will also have opportunities to undertake internships at airports, providing practical exposure to airport operations and real-world aviation environments.
