Overview

The BA in Public Policy provides a comprehensive foundation in the art of framing, debating, and implementing policies to meet the unique governance challenges of the 21st century. It stands out in its emphasis on combining a philosophical, comparative, and data-oriented attitude to policymaking.

Rigorous exposure to public policy issues in various sectors such as health, education, energy and environment, water, natural resources, agriculture, and infrastructure is provided through political, sociological, technological, and economic perspectives. This programme aims to develop individuals who can provide leadership in policy initiatives in the government sector, private consulting firms, corporate social responsibility wings, international organizations, or civil society organizations at regional, national, and international levels.

Beginning from field visits for policy inputs and grassroots feedback to running a magazine to practice policy commentary, the programme combines immersive experiences in all dimensions of policymaking. Learning from conversations with leading policy experts around the world, students will inculcate a public service orientation to become change agents for a better and more equal world.
