Industry, Academia and Students Engage in Dialogue on Global Business and Innovation
Alliance University organised the International Business Conclave 2026 through the International Business Club of the Alliance School of Business on 23 January 2026 at the University campus in Bengaluru. The conclave brought together industry professionals, academic experts and students to discuss contemporary business challenges, innovation, and global market practices. The event aimed to create a platform for meaningful interaction between academia and industry, while offering students practical insights into real-world business environments.
Inaugural Session
The conclave commenced at 11:00 a.m. with a formal inauguration ceremony. The session included a welcome address, lamp lighting and the official opening of the event. Faculty members and organisers highlighted the importance of industry–academia collaboration in preparing students for global business roles. The opening session set the context for discussions on innovation, entrepreneurship and international business practices.
Keynote Address
The keynote address was delivered by Shri Chandrakanth B.N., Founder and Chairman of Rajeev Group. In his address, he spoke on the theme of moving beyond the laboratory and lecture hall to translate academic ideas into market-ready solutions. He discussed how research, innovation and industry understanding can work together to create sustainable business value. The address emphasised the need for students to understand market realities and align academic knowledge with industry expectations.
Panel Discussion on Start-ups and Global Economy
Following the keynote session, a panel discussion was held on the theme of transforming student ideas into fundable ventures in the global start-up ecosystem. The discussion focused on challenges faced by early-stage ventures, credibility building, team formation and funding strategies. The panellists shared their professional experiences and offered practical perspectives on entrepreneurship and innovation. The session encouraged students to think critically about scaling ideas beyond the classroom.

Faculty coordinators from the Alliance School of Business facilitated these sessions, ensuring academic relevance and structured discussion.

The conclave also included a start-up pitch session, where participants presented business ideas and received feedback from industry experts. The event concluded with a session on international payroll and taxation systems in business mapping. This session addressed regulatory and compliance aspects relevant to global operations.
