Dr. Sindhuja Manisha Kamini

As an Assistant Professor of Psychology, she emphasized experiential and student-centered teaching methods, creating learning environments that extended beyond traditional lectures. Her classes integrated case-based discussions, reflective exercises, role plays, and applied psychodiagnostic techniques, enabling students to bridge theory with practice. She encouraged research-driven inquiry and critical thinking, guiding learners in designing projects and dissertations that addressed real-world psychological issues. By fostering interactive dialogue and collaborative learning, she ensured that students developed not only academic knowledge but also professional confidence and empathy—qualities essential for future psychologists.

Dr. Sindhuja Manisha Kamini is a distinguished practioner, academician, and researcher whose work bridges the domains of mental health practice, scholarly research, and higher education. She holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Amity University Jaipur, where her doctoral research explored menstrual experiences, attitudes, and psychosocial attributes among adolescent girls. Her earlier research at the postgraduate level examined the role of physical activity in resilience among children, and her undergraduate dissertation offered a phenomenological exploration of gratefulness across generational cohorts.

Beyond academia, Dr. Sindhuja is the Founder and Director of The Sanguine Minds, where she continues to practice as a consultant psychologist. Through the clinic, she has led counseling services, workshops, and training programs in areas such as stress management, positive parenting, resilience-building, and mental health awareness, collaborating with psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals.

Dr. Sindhuja’s research contributions span gender, psychosocial well-being, resilience, digital education, and clinical psychology. She has published extensively, including:

  • Menstrual Stain: A Qualitative Understanding of Stigmas Associated With Menstruation (Journal for ReAttach Therapy & Developmental Diversities, 2023).
  • Book chapters on Dance Movement Therapy and Body Image (2022) and Subjective Well-Being and Mindfulness among Online Learners (2021).
  • Peer-reviewed articles in Shanlax International Journal of Arts, Science and Humanities and Research Scholar Journal, addressing topics such as resilience in children, alexithymia, interpersonal problems, and psychological well-being among social media users.

Dr. Sindhuja has been actively involved in both national and international academic platforms. She has:

  • Chaired and moderated sessions at global conferences including the International Conference on Gender and Sexuality (Bangkok, 2024), INSIGHT Conference on Cognition and Emotion (Kristu Jayanti College, 2024), and the International Conference on Crime Issues & Challenges (MS University, 2025).
  • Organized the Brain Behaviour Conference at Christ University (2023), where she also chaired technical sessions.
  • Presented papers internationally on themes such as gender, peacebuilding, delegation in organizational settings, family dynamics, and resilience in children, at platforms hosted by OP Jindal Global University, IIT Hyderabad, Pratap University, Pondicherry University, and Jamia Millia Islamia.

She has also conducted community-oriented workshops on stress management, communication, and mental health awareness, empowering both students and homemakers with practical psychological strategies.

Dr. Sindhuja has been acknowledged with several awards and recognitions, including:

  • Best Resource Person Award, AMC Engineering College (2023).
  • Best Paper Award, OP Jindal Global University (International Conference).
    She has further strengthened her expertise through faculty development programs (ICSSR-CRRID, 2023) and certifications in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Transactional Analysis, and Psycho-informatics.
