Dr. Harold Andrew Patrick

Dr. Harold Andrew Patrick is an accomplished academic leader, researcher, and practitioner in the field of Industrial and Organizational Psychology, with over three decades of diverse experience spanning academia and the corporate sector.

Dr. Patrick earned his Ph.D. in Industrial Psychology from Bengaluru University, with a doctoral thesis focused on managerial power processes and leadership behavior in IT organizations. He also holds an M.Phil. in Industrial Psychology from the University of Delhi and an M.A. in Industrial Psychology from Bengaluru University, where he secured the 5th rank. He has complemented his academic journey with a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and a Diploma in Journalism and Public Relations. In 2017, he completed a Certificate in University Teaching from the University of Newcastle, Australia.

In his earlier role as Professor and Dean at CMS Business School, Jain (Deemed-to-be University), Bengaluru, he played a pivotal role in shaping strategic academic direction, fostering impactful research, and driving industry collaboration. He also served on the Executive and Academic Councils of Jain (Deemed-to-be University) and chairs key academic bodies such as the Board of Studies and the Department Research Committee. His leadership extends to other institutions as well, serving on the academic and governing councils of reputed management schools across Bengaluru Prior to that, he served as Senior Manager – Leadership and Organization Development at Infosys Leadership Institute, where he led initiatives for leadership development and succession planning at the enterprise level. He also held long-standing academic positions at Christ University, where he was Professor, Head of the OB and HRM area, and Coordinator for the M.Phil. Management Program.

Dr. Patrick has guided numerous Ph.D., M.Phil., and MBA dissertations, served as a thesis evaluator for national and international universities—including IISc Bengaluru, University of Canberra (Australia), and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (Malaysia)—and acted as issue editor for Ushas Journal of Business Management. His research interests span leadership development, organizational behavior, employee engagement, and work environments.

As a certified psychometric assessor and a confident communicator, Dr. Patrick has conducted faculty development and management development programs, organized national conferences, written survey reports, and contributed extensively to academic publishing. He has successfully led a major research project funded by Christ University on employee perceptions and work engagement in the service sector.

Under his leadership, CMS Business School has seen significant growth—from expanding faculty strength and student numbers to revamping the Ph.D. process and introducing the NEP-compliant MBA curriculum with multiple specializations and flexible entry-exit options.

A member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), USA, Dr. Harold Andrew Patrick continues to inspire excellence in management education, promote global academic standards, and develop human potential through research, teaching, and strategic institutional development.
