Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) - Communication Design

Overview

The four-year undergraduate programme in Communication Design at Alliance University offers a unique educational experience enabling them to become proficient and visually articulate professionals. Our holistic curriculum allows each student to acquire discipline specific knowledge and skills within a broad framework of transdisciplinary learning.

Communication Design gives form to information in advertising, publishing and editorial design, corporate and exhibition design, websites, multimedia, environmental graphics, signs and maps, service design, interaction design, film, and video. Students are taught various aspects of contemporary communication design practices including analogue and digital printmaking, type & layout, illustration techniques and data visualization, giving them the ability to create content for a variety of platforms. Students gain real-world exposure through hands-on projects, industry collaborations, and internships.

The Communication Design programme cultivates a high level of visual literacy and media fluency in each student, while nurturing their individual perspectives and voices. This holistic approach prepares graduates to not only thrive in the dynamic world of design but also shape their future with innovative and meaningful work.
