Visit to Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath Encourages Artistic Reflection and Cultural Understanding
01 April, 2026

Art extends beyond visual appreciation and becomes meaningful through experience, reflection, and interpretation. With this perspective, the Kannada Sangha at Alliance University, in collaboration with the Painting Club, organised a visit to Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, offering students an opportunity to engage with art and culture in a more immersive setting.
The visit introduced students to a wide range of artistic traditions and rare literary works, providing insight into the depth and diversity of creative expression. Participants also had the opportunity to interact with practising artists, gaining an understanding of their creative processes and journeys. These interactions encouraged students to look at art not only as a form of expression but also as a medium shaped by personal and cultural contexts.
The experience moved beyond observation and created space for reflection and dialogue. Students were able to connect with the narratives behind the artworks and consider the role of art in shaping perspectives and preserving cultural identity.
The visit highlighted the significance of art as a reflection of identity and history. It encouraged students to view art as a lens through which both the world and the self can be better understood, reinforcing its relevance in academic and personal exploration.
