Alliance University successfully organised Tackathon-2025, the internal hackathon for the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025. The event served as a platform for students to demonstrate their problem-solving skills, creativity, and technical knowledge by addressing real-world challenges across multiple themes.
Student Participation
A total of 150 student teams participated in the hackathon, each presenting their innovative ideas and practical solutions. The diversity of projects reflected the students’ ability to think critically and apply their academic learning to issues of practical importance. The energy and commitment displayed during the event underlined the University’s focus on nurturing innovation through experiential learning.
Evaluation Process
The evaluation was carried out by a panel of nine members comprising industry professionals and senior faculty. The process followed a rubric-based system, ensuring fairness and transparency in assessing the quality of work. The mentors and evaluators provided valuable feedback that helped students reflect on their strengths and areas of improvement.
Selection for Next Rounds
From the participating teams, the top 50 were selected to represent Alliance University in the forthcoming rounds of SIH 2025. These teams will now continue their journey by competing at a higher level, taking their ideas closer to practical application and national recognition.
Building Skills and Collaboration
Beyond competition, Tackathon-2025 was an opportunity for students to experience teamwork, collaboration, and the challenges of working under time-bound conditions. The event fostered an entrepreneurial mindset by encouraging participants to view problems not as barriers but as opportunities for innovative solutions.
Conclusion
Tackathon-2025 reaffirmed Alliance University’s commitment to preparing students for real-world challenges through platforms that combine learning with practice. By supporting creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration, the University continues to provide its learners with the skills needed to contribute meaningfully to industry and society.
