Alliance University hosted a Government of India–sponsored RAMP Awareness Workshop on Export Promotion and Facilitation for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Bengaluru. The programme focused on building awareness around export opportunities and strengthening the capacity of MSMEs to engage with global markets. The workshop served as a platform for knowledge sharing and practical learning on export readiness and compliance.
Organisation and Collaboration
The workshop was curated by the MDP and Corporate Training Wing of Alliance University in collaboration with the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Karnataka, and the District Industries Centre (DIC), Bengaluru Urban. The programme brought together 65 representatives from MSMEs along with seven faculty members from the University. The interaction encouraged constructive dialogue between industry participants and academic professionals.
Expert Sessions and Key Discussions
The programme featured an address by Mr Suneel Kumar, Joint Director, District Industries Centre, who shared insights on government initiatives and institutional support available for MSMEs seeking to expand into export markets. A technical and hands-on session was conducted by Ms Veenaa Venkatesh, who provided practical guidance on export procedures, regulatory frameworks, and global market requirements. The session focused on helping participants understand compliance processes and prepare for international trade engagement.
Industry–Academia Engagement
The workshop facilitated meaningful interaction between MSME representatives and faculty members, allowing participants to discuss challenges, opportunities, and strategies related to export promotion. The discussions highlighted the importance of awareness, preparation, and structured support in enabling MSMEs to explore international markets with confidence.

The RAMP Awareness Workshop reflected Alliance University’s continued efforts to support industry development through knowledge-driven initiatives.
