The National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit of Alliance University, in collaboration with the 40 Karnataka Battalion, actively participated in training programs, awareness initiatives, selection camps, and national-level activities. These activities focused on developing leadership, discipline, physical fitness, social responsibility, and national service among cadets.
Alliance University cadets represented the University in several NCC camps and selection processes. A B.Tech. Aerospace Engineering student participated in the National Level Special Adventure Camp organized by the National Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports (NIMAS), where he underwent training in river crossing, mountain tent pitching, and rope climbing. Cadets also progressed through the Thal Sainik Camp firing selections and Republic Day Camp selection process, while another cadet qualified to represent the University and the Karnataka and Goa Directorate at the Cyber Security Training Camp.
The NCC unit also strengthened cadet skills through the .22 Sporting Rifle Shooting Competition, Inter Battalion Firing Selection, and Obstacle Training Selection Trials. These programs focused on marksmanship, physical endurance, agility, concentration, teamwork, and leadership. Associate NCC Officers from Alliance University also participated in the ANO Conclave, which included discussions on training, administration, enrolment, and coordination among NCC units.
Alongside training, the NCC unit promoted environmental and social responsibility through a sapling plantation drive, child labour awareness sessions, essay writing, and activities marking the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. These included awareness sessions, an awareness walk, poster-making, and quotation competitions focused on healthy living and responsible decision-making.
Cadets selected for the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Camp attended an orientation session conducted by the Commanding Officer of the 40 Karnataka Battalion. The session introduced them to the objectives of the camp, discipline standards, cultural exchange, and national integration.
Through these initiatives, the NCC unit at Alliance University continued to provide cadets with opportunities to develop leadership, resilience, teamwork, and civic responsibility. The activities reflected the University's continued support for experiential learning and holistic student development through the National Cadet Corps.
