National Workshop Enhances Practical Legal Skills through Drafting, Pleading, and Conveyancing Session

Alliance School of Law, Alliance University, organised the National Workshop on Drafting, Pleading, and Conveyancing 2025. The workshop was attended by fourth-year students from the BA LLB and BBA LLB programmes, along with participants from law institutions across India. The event aimed to strengthen legal education through practical exposure to legal drafting and courtroom procedures.
Engagement with Legal Experts
The workshop opened with a session by Mr Vivekananda H.S, Advocate and Founder of Vivek Associates, Bengaluru. His session focused on contract drafting, highlighting the role of language precision and structural clarity in legal documentation.
Mr Manjunath Hiral, Advocate at the High Court of Karnataka, delivered a session on drafting bail petitions. The session addressed essential aspects of criminal procedure and provided insights into effective representation in criminal cases.
Ms Deepa Jayadev, Advocate and Founder of Deepa Jayadev Associates, Bengaluru, discussed civil law drafting. The session included detailed analysis of agreements, plaints, and written statements. Participants explored the legal framework and drafting techniques applicable to civil litigation.
Mr Dhiraj Nayarkodi, Advocate at Nayarkodi Associates, Bengaluru, addressed property law. His session covered land classifications, property documentation, and the process of title verification, offering a structured approach to conveyancing practice.

The sessions included real-time drafting exercises, supported by structured guidance from the legal professionals. The format encouraged participants to engage with real case scenarios and develop drafting skills aligned with legal practice requirements.
