The Office of Career Advancement and Networking at Alliance University organised a Mock Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD/PI) session for the MBA July 2024–26 batch on Saturday, 13 September 2025, at the Central Campus. The session was part of the University’s efforts to strengthen the career readiness of students and prepare them for the upcoming placement cycle.
Purpose of the Session
The initiative was designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations. By simulating a real placement environment, students had the opportunity to understand what recruiters look for during group discussions and personal interviews. The session gave them a platform to practise their communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills in a professional setting.
Student Learning Experience
Participants received constructive feedback and valuable insights from the mentors who guided the discussions and interviews. This experience enabled students to reflect on their performance and identify areas of improvement. The engagement helped them gain clarity and confidence in approaching the placement season.
Conclusion
The Mock GD/PI session reflected Alliance University’s continued commitment to preparing its learners for future careers. By combining academic knowledge with practical exposure, the University seeks to ensure that students are equipped to enter the placement process with preparedness and self-assurance.
