Alliance University Signs MoU with Nemetschek Group to Strengthen Industry Collaboration
11 February, 2026

Alliance University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Nemetschek Group at the Board Room, Admin Block. The initiative was led by the Office of Industry and International Alliance and marked a step towards deeper engagement between academia and industry.
The MoU has been signed with the objective of fostering collaboration in the areas of Building Information Modelling (BIM), digital construction technologies, and industry-oriented skill development. Through this partnership, both institutions aim to integrate advanced software tools and practical industry knowledge into academic programs. The focus is to align educational outcomes with current industry requirements and prepare students for evolving professional environments.
The agreement seeks to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practice. It will enable the introduction of real-world applications and digital tools within the curriculum. By doing so, the University intends to ensure that students gain relevant technical exposure and practical understanding alongside their academic studies.
Under this collaboration, both parties will work together on faculty development programs, student training sessions, workshops, guest lectures, and curriculum enrichment initiatives. The partnership will also support certification programs, project-based learning opportunities, internships, and exposure to global practices in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sector. These activities are expected to contribute to the professional growth of both students and faculty members.
The MoU outlines several planned initiatives, including academic access to industry-grade software, faculty enablement programs, student competitions, and structured project mentoring aligned with industry expectations. The collaboration also provides scope for joint research and innovation in emerging areas of digital construction. The expected outcomes include improved student employability, upskilling in emerging digital technologies, enhanced industry readiness, and stronger engagement between the University and industry partners.
The signing of the MoU was formalised by Mr. Matam Vishwanathaiah and Mr. Deepankar Bhattacharyya, who signed and exchanged the document in the presence of University leadership and faculty members. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Priestly Shan Boaz, Vice-Chancellor of Alliance University; Dr. Basaralu Sudharshan, Chief Industry Officer; Dr. Chandrashekar K E, Professor and Associate Director (Academic Operations); and Dr. Tejaswini M L, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Civil Engineering. The event was coordinated by Mrs. Sindia Balan K B from the Office of Academic Operations and Ms. Saranya Baburaj from the Office of Industry and International Alliance.
