26 May, 2026

Alliance University has entered into an Internship Collaboration Programme with the Arbitration and Conciliation Centre (Domestic and International), Bengaluru, to strengthen academic engagement and practical learning in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).
The Arbitration and Conciliation Centre, established under the aegis of the Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka, collaborates with Alliance University through this initiative to support skill development, research engagement, and experiential learning in arbitration and conciliation.
The Memorandum was signed by Hon’ble Director Sri. Dinesh Hegde, District Judge, on behalf of the Arbitration and Conciliation Centre, and Dr. Matam Viswanathaiah, Registrar, on behalf of Alliance University. The collaboration aims to provide law students with practical exposure to arbitration proceedings and dispute resolution practices through structured academic and professional interactions.
The programme includes internship opportunities for students, workshops on domestic and international arbitration, faculty development initiatives, institutional visits to the Arbitration and Conciliation Centre, and interactions between legal experts and students. These initiatives are intended to bridge the gap between academic learning and the practical dimensions of dispute resolution mechanisms.
Representatives from both institutions highlighted the growing relevance of Alternative Dispute Resolution in the evolving legal and commercial environment. They noted that arbitration is increasingly becoming an important area of legal practice due to its efficiency, confidentiality, and structured approach to resolving disputes.
The collaboration is also expected to contribute towards building awareness and professional expertise among students while supporting the development of a stronger ADR culture in India. Through this initiative, Alliance University continues to expand opportunities for experiential legal education and industry engagement for its students.
