Alliance University Shares Vision for Future-Ready Learning at Coursera's From Learning to Earning Forum
08 June, 2026

Higher education today extends beyond preparing students for employment. It plays an important role in developing individuals who can adapt to change, embrace lifelong learning, and contribute meaningfully to society. Reflecting this perspective, Alliance University, represented by its Pro-Chancellor, Mr. Abhay G. Chebbi, shared its vision for future-ready education at Coursera’s From Learning to Earning forum.
Mr. Chebbi highlighted the need to view education as a continuous journey that moves from knowledge to capability, capability to confidence, confidence to opportunity, and ultimately to purposeful contribution. The discussion emphasised that meaningful learning should equip students with the skills and mindset required to navigate an evolving global environment.
A key focus of the session was Alliance University’s collaboration with Coursera, which has strengthened the integration of global learning into curriculum design, assessments, credit structures, mentoring, and career pathways. This approach enables students to complement their academic learning with industry-relevant knowledge and globally accessible learning experiences.
The University also shared its perspective on the changing role of higher education in an era shaped by rapid technological advancement and artificial intelligence. It was emphasised that universities must evolve beyond being institutions that award degrees or facilitate placements. Instead, they should become collaborative learning environments where students, faculty, industry, technology, and society work together to prepare individuals for future opportunities.
The discussion also highlighted the importance of developing graduates who are AI-aware, AI-confident, and AI-responsible. By combining academic learning with technology-enabled education and industry engagement, Alliance University continues to create learning experiences that prepare students to learn continuously, adapt confidently, and contribute with purpose.
