Alliance University hosted an impactful cybersecurity awareness program titled “NextGen Cyber Guardians: Learn, Lead, Secure” at Government High School, Marsur Village, Anekal. The initiative welcomed 150 enthusiastic students, with a special emphasis on empowering young girls to confidently and safely navigate the digital landscape.
The event opened with a keynote that introduced the university’s academic offerings and highlighted the vital importance of cybersecurity in an ever-evolving digital era. Delivered in Kannada, a subsequent session emphasized responsible digital behaviour, including thoughtful content sharing and respectful online interactions.
Interactive workshops followed, equipping students with practical knowledge to identify cyber threats such as cyberbullying, online grooming, identity theft, and fake profiles. The sessions empowered participants to protect their privacy, report online misconduct, and build digital confidence and self-advocacy skills. Students were also shown official reporting channels such as the Cyber Crime Portal (India), school counsellors, or trusted adults to report suspicious activity.
The event concluded with a spirited quiz that tested students newly acquired cyber-awareness, with winners receiving gifts. To celebrate the occasion, sweets were distributed to all participants and teachers, creating a warm and memorable ending.
Mrs. Sujatha, Principal of Government High School, Marsur Village, Anekal, expressed sincere gratitude for Alliance University’s commitment to educating and empowering students through such impactful outreach.
This initiative builds on Alliance University’s prior cybersecurity awareness work in Anekal, including a previous program aimed at young schoolgirls that emphasized safe internet use, cyberbullying prevention, and responsible social media behaviour. That session promoted respectful online interactions and encouraged technology career exploration among girls.
