Alliance University NSS Marks National Youth Day 2026 with Youth-Centered Activities
12 January, 2026

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Alliance University observed National Youth Day 2026 with purpose and active participation across the campus. The occasion marked the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, whose ideas on youth, character, and service continue to guide young people across generations. The programme aimed to encourage leadership, social awareness, and a sense of responsibility among students.
Participation Across Schools
Students from various schools of the University came together to engage in discussions and collaborative activities. The event provided a platform for students to exchange ideas, reflect on contemporary social issues, and strengthen their leadership abilities. The gathering reinforced the importance of collective action and student involvement in nation-building efforts.
Youth Leadership and Service Initiatives
The programme included Youth Leadership Circles that focused on real-world challenges faced by society today. These sessions encouraged students to share perspectives and propose thoughtful approaches to social issues. A Service Pledge Drive was also conducted, covering six community-oriented themes, allowing students to reaffirm their commitment to service and civic responsibility.
Reflections and Skill Development Activities
As part of the observance, students reflected on Swami Vivekananda's vision for youth and its relevance in the present context. The programme also featured public speaking and confidence-building activities aimed at enhancing communication skills. The “Voices of Youth” open mic session provided an open space for students to express ideas, aspirations, and reflections on social change.
Conclusion
The National Youth Day celebration organised by the NSS Unit reflected the enthusiasm, creativity, and social awareness of Alliance University students. The event highlighted the role of young people as active contributors to society and reinforced the values of service and leadership. Inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s words, "Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached", the programme encouraged students to move forward with purpose and commitment as responsible citizens and future changemakers.
