Alliance University Holds Coordination Meeting for Autodesk Centre of Excellence
Alliance University conducted a coordination and alignment meeting to discuss the establishment of the Centre of Excellence (COE) for Autodesk Technologies. The meeting brought together representatives from all academic departments and existing Centres of Excellence to understand the scope of the initiative and to plan collaborative efforts for its implementation.
Overview of the Meeting
The session took place on 6 November 2025 at LT508 in the Learning Centre 2. It was coordinated by Prof. Rajeev Kumar P and supported by Dr Shamanth S, who guided the discussion and ensured that all departments had the opportunity to contribute. The meeting aimed to present the objectives of the Autodesk COE, clarify operational expectations, and gather feedback from faculty members.
Interactive Session and Discussions
An interactive session was led by Mr Anil Ghaste, Technical Manager from the ISCT Group, Bangalore. He addressed questions from participants and explained how the proposed COE would function as a central digital capability layer for the University. His session helped resolve doubts from stakeholders and offered practical insights into the integration of Autodesk technologies across disciplines.
Stakeholder Alignment
Representatives from various departments expressed support for the initiative and noted that the proposed structure aligned well with their academic activities and upcoming projects. Many departments acknowledged that the Autodesk COE would strengthen digital competencies and add value to existing programmes. The meeting also highlighted that the initiative would support student industrial training and certification programmes, scheduled to begin in the first week of December. These programmes are expected to give students early exposure to industry-relevant tools and technologies.

Departments conveyed their readiness to participate in curriculum alignment, project collaboration and Faculty Development Programmes linked to the COE. The discussion included ideas for joint certification programmes and the use of Autodesk technologies in multidisciplinary projects.
