12 December, 2025

The Management Development Programmes (MDP) Department of Alliance University organised a two-day Management Development Programme on Finance for Non-Finance Managers on 12 and 13 December 2025. The programme was designed to support professionals from non-financial backgrounds in building a clear and practical understanding of finance in organisational decision-making.
Programme Overview
The programme was attended by 22 managers representing reputed manufacturing and service sector organisations. Participants came from diverse functional areas, including Marketing, Operations, Human Resources, and Engineering. The structure of the programme was carefully planned to address the financial knowledge needs of professionals whose primary roles are outside the finance function.
Learning Approach and Key Focus Areas
The sessions were delivered through a combination of engaging lectures, hands-on activities, and real-world financial applications. Participants were introduced to key financial concepts, financial statements, and essential decision-making tools. The interactive format encouraged discussion and knowledge sharing, allowing participants to relate financial principles directly to their operational responsibilities. This approach helped bridge the gap between day-to-day business decisions and their financial impact.
Participant Experience and Outcomes
Executives found the programme relevant to their professional roles, as it strengthened their ability to interpret financial data and engage more confidently with finance teams. The learning experience supported participants in contributing more effectively to strategic discussions within their organisations. Feedback received from the participants highlighted the practical value of the programme and its applicability to real workplace situations.
Programme Facilitators
The programme was facilitated by experienced faculty members: Dr. Narayana Swamy, Dr. Satyendra Pratap Singh, and Dr. Kapil Arora, whose sessions guided participants through core financial concepts with clarity and practical insight.
Conclusion
The positive response to the programme reflects Alliance University’s continued focus on delivering industry-relevant learning experiences through its Management Development Programmes. The university remains committed to supporting professional development through structured, practice-oriented education that aligns with evolving organisational needs.
