Alliance University at Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025
Alliance University participated in the 3 days Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) 2025 with a series of research presentations, student and faculty engagements, and technology showcases. The University’s presence reflected its ongoing work in innovation, interdisciplinary research, and industry-linked learning. Across the three days of the summit, teams from the University engaged in discussions, demonstrations, and exhibitions that highlighted emerging ideas and practical solutions developed on campus.
Poster Presentations at India Bio
During the India Bio segment of BTS 2025, Alliance University presented five research projects developed by its faculty and students. These included work on safe-by-design nanomaterials for food packaging, new strategies for neuroprotection, waste-to-value biosurfactant innovation, an AI-enabled smart mosquito trapping system, and algae-based vegan protein development. Through these presentations, the teams shared their findings with visiting experts, researchers, and representatives from the biotechnology sector.
Student and Faculty Delegation
A student–faculty delegation from the fields of science, biotechnology, and engineering attended multiple sessions and activities throughout the summit. They engaged with industry leaders, researchers, and innovators, enabling them to gain exposure to current developments and build networks within the broader technology and research community.
Participation in the Bharat Pitchathon
University teams also took part in the Bharat Pitchathon, where they presented solutions in areas such as IoT, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and emerging technologies. Their participation provided an opportunity to demonstrate problem-solving approaches and receive feedback from practitioners and investors.
Start-up Showcases
Start-ups linked to Alliance University exhibited their work in agritech, AI and automation, green technology, and digital services. These young ventures represented the University’s incubation efforts and the increasing interest of students and alumni in pursuing entrepreneurial pathways.
University Stall and Exhibition
The University’s main stall in Hall 3 at BIEC displayed a range of outcomes from research, innovation, and incubation activities. It included student start-up products, cross-disciplinary technology initiatives, and details of the University’s wider innovation ecosystem. Visitors were able to interact with the teams, understand ongoing projects, and learn about the University’s approach to applied research.
Recognition and Awards
The University reported two recognitions during the summit. A student group comprising Shravani N, Pavan J, Sweety M, Sudhir R, Vijay, Sheshadri K, and Namitha P received the second prize in the India Bio Poster Presentation Competition for their work on a smart mosquito trapping system.
Alliance University also received the Best Exhibitor Award (Interactive and Best Managed Booth) at the 28th Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025. The recognition was presented by the Department of Electronics, Information Technology and Biotechnology, Government of Karnataka. This acknowledgement reflected the collective efforts of the faculty, staff, and students who contributed to the planning and management of the exhibition space.
Conclusion
Alliance University concluded its participation at BTS 2025 with appreciation for the engagement and support received throughout the event. The University expressed its commitment to continuing work in education, research, and collaboration. Visitors were encouraged to explore the University’s stall on the final day of the summit at HS 36 in Hall 3.
