Alliance School of Liberal Arts Observes Mental Health Day 2025
The Alliance School of Liberal Arts observed Mental Health Day 2025 with a series of activities designed to promote emotional well-being, self-awareness and a compassionate campus environment. The initiative reflected Alliance University’s ongoing commitment to encouraging open conversations around mental health and supporting students in building healthier academic and personal lives.
Expert Workshop on Performance Anxiety
The celebration began on 29 October 2025 with an expert workshop conducted by Dr Narendra Nath Samantaray, Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at NIMHANS. The session focused on the theme “Cognitive–Motivational Strategy in Performance Anxiety and Academic Improvement.” Dr Samantaray discussed practical approaches to managing performance-related stress and shared methods that help students improve academic motivation and psychological resilience. The interactive nature of the session encouraged students to reflect on their own experiences and understand how cognitive and motivational strategies can support both academic progress and overall well-being.
Mental Health Awareness Rally
Following the workshop, students participated in a Mental Health Awareness Rally across the campus. The rally aimed to spread messages of empathy, openness and collective responsibility in addressing mental health concerns. It created an atmosphere where students felt encouraged to acknowledge emotional challenges and support one another in a meaningful and respectful manner.
Mental Health Exhibition
The events continued on 31 October 2025 with a Mental Health Exhibition held at the Activity Centre. The exhibition featured interactive stalls and personality assessments intended to encourage self-reflection and emotional understanding. Students engaged in activities that highlighted the importance of emotional intelligence, stress management and mindful awareness. The exhibition provided a space where students could explore different aspects of mental well-being in an accessible and engaging format.
Student Participation and Campus Impact
The initiative received positive participation from students, many of whom actively contributed to the discussions and activities. Throughout the three-day celebration, the campus environment reflected a strong sense of support and understanding. Students were able to engage in conversations about mental health in a space that valued openness and care.
