The Alliance Annual Alumni Meet 2025 was held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the Alliance University campus in Bengaluru. The event brought together alumni from multiple graduating batches and programmes, celebrating the lasting connections and achievements of the Alliance community. The day had multiple events that engaged alumni, their families, faculty & staff members, current students, and guests.

Annual General Body Meeting and New Leadership

The event began with the 3rd Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) of the Alliance Alumni Association at the Moot Court Hall. The AGM included the adoption of the Annual Report and audited financials for 2023–24, the reappointment of auditors, and the formation of a new Executive Committee for a three-year term. Outgoing office bearers, including President Mr. Tony Francis and Secretary Mr. Ashith B, presented key accomplishments such as the launch of the alumni portal, LinkedIn page, newsletters, school-level meets, and CSR initiatives. They also discussed proposed plans, including the Founders’ Collective, Global Alumni Awards, and the Golden Card initiative for alumni benefits. The meeting concluded with the formal introduction of the new Executive Committee and a vote of thanks by outgoing Vice President Ms. Nivedita V.

Beckoning the AlumSprouts: A Celebration of Legacy and Lineage

AlumSprouts 2025 that featured performances by kids of Alliance alumni, was hosted at the Moot Court, Alliance University. The event showcased the talents of young performers across three segments—Singing Stars, Dance Delight, and Fashion Fiesta—in various age groups. Winners received hampers sponsored by Unibic Foods India Pvt. Ltd., cash prizes from the Guddappa and Girija Angur Foundation, and trophies. The event drew alumni, faculty, and their families together in celebration.

Alumni Spotlight: Stories of Growth and Grit

A new cross-school initiative recognised young alumni for their contributions across industries. This initiative highlighted early-career achievements and aimed to inspire current students and strengthen peer connections within the alumni network.

Entrepreneurial Excellence: Alliance Alumni Entrepreneur Showcase

The Entrepreneur Showcase featured five alumni founders: Mr. Anil Dhinwa (PGDM 2003–2005) of Alchemy Stone Matrix Pvt. Ltd.; Ms. Nandini B (Executive MBA 2012–2013), Director of Tescom and Treasurer of ELCIA; Mr. Ashwin Raje (PGDM 2004–2006) of Brain Checker Techno Services; Ms. Sanober Mannan (PGDM 2003–2005) of 9 Yards Marketing Consultancy Ltd.; and Mr. Dilip Shankar (B.Tech. 2012–2016, E PGDM 2021–2022) of Renify Technologies Pvt. Ltd. The showcase celebrated their journeys and reflected the entrepreneurial spirit nurtured at Alliance University.

Main Stage Ceremonies: Leadership, Vision, and Continuity

The formal proceedings of the Alliance Annual Alumni Meet 2025 commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Tony Francis, the outgoing President of the Alliance Alumni Association. This was followed by messages from key University leaders, including Mr. Abhay Chebbi, Pro Chancellor of Alliance University, and Dr. Priestly Shan Boaz, Vice-Chancellor. Dr. Ray Titus, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Incubation and Innovation) at Alliance University, announced the newly elected office bearers of the Alliance Alumni Association, after which the oath-taking ceremony was administered by Ms. Surekha Shetty, Registrar General of Alliance University.

The new alumni association for 2025-2028 will be led by Mr. Harikrishnan Ramakrishnan, who will serve as the President who serves as the Founder and CEO of We Assist and also holds the role of Principal Officer at Karthika Insurance. He is an alumnus of the BBA batch of 1999–2002. Supporting him, Ms. Urmimala Sarkar will serve as the Vice President who is the Director of Campus Recruitment at NTT DATA Services and belongs to the MBA 2005–2007 batch. Mr. Avinash Mysore Nagaraj will serve as Secretary who is an Engagement Partner at Area Technology and an alumnus of the MBA 2008–2010 batch. The role of Joint Secretary will be held by Ms. Rumela Banerjee, DGM – Human Resource at Ather Energy, from the MBA 2005–2007 batch.

Mr. Sanjay G Kothari will serve as Treasurer. He is a General Partner at WYSER and from the MBA 2008–2010 batch. The Executive Committee will include Mr. Nagendra P, Customer Success – Director at Diligent, from the MBA 2008–2010 batch; Mr. Abhishek K Shetty, Senior Assistant Vice President at HSBC, from the MBA 2010–2011 batch; and Adv. Hiran Krishnaswamy, Founding Partner and Advocate at Swamy and Kumar Associates, who is from the LLM 2018–2019 batch; Ms. Hiranmayi Rajeev, Associate at Tomy Sebastian Associates, from the BA LLB 2019–2024 batch, and Ms. Harshitha Ravi, Human Resources Executive at Alliance University, who completed her B.Tech. from the 2017–2021 batch and MBA from 2022–2024 batch as committee members.

Alliance Alumni Global Awards 2025: Honoring Excellence

The main stage also witnessed the recognition of distinguished alumni through the Alliance Alumni Global Awards 2025. The awards honoured individuals who have made significant contributions across diverse fields such as social justice, arts & performing arts, entrepreneurship, academics, professional excellence, and contributions to the Alma Mater. With over 100 nominations received, a dedicated jury carried out a thorough evaluation process to identify alumni who have embodied the values of Alliance University in their professional and personal pursuits.

The winners included Ms. Pallavi Khurana (MBA 2008–2010), Lecturer and Doctoral Candidate at the University at Albany, SUNY, for Outstanding Achievements in Academic / Scholarly Achievement; Ms. Rachana Narayanankutty (MFA 2014–2016), recognised for Outstanding Achievements in Arts & Performing Arts; Ms. Medha P M (BA LLB 2015–2020), Civil Judge and Judicial Magistrate of the First Class, High Court of Karnataka, for Outstanding Achievement in Social Justice / Community Service; Mr. Kartikay Mehta (MBA 1999–2001), Director – Sales, Unibic Foods, for Outstanding Contribution to the Alma Mater; Yash Agrawal (PGDM 2009–2011), Founder and CEO, Gimbooks, for Outstanding Young Entrepreneur

These awards were supported by the Guddappa and Girija Angur Foundation and included cash prizes, trophies, and certificates. The recognition reflected the University’s continued commitment to honouring alumni who contribute meaningfully to society and uphold the values of Alliance University.

Evening Finale: A Musical Performance by Madhubanti Bagchi

The Alliance Annual Alumni Meet 2025 concluded with a soulful musical performance by Ms. Madhubanti Bagchi, acclaimed playback singer and celebrity guest of the evening. Her captivating voice and stage presence created an atmosphere of warmth and celebration, offering a melodious conclusion to a day filled with connection and recognition. The performance brought together alumni, faculty, and guests in a shared moment of joy and reflection, marking the conclusion of the event on a high note.
