Session Brief:
Ashish Chandra is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Airtel Srilanka. Ashish comes with over 22 years of telecom experience with a remarkable professional career record of setting up new businesses, financial turnarounds, rapid market share growth, Mergers & Acquisitions and multiple industry innovations.

Ashish has played pivotal roles in managing large businesses and geographies of top telecom operators in India. He currently is responsible for driving growth for Airtel in the Sri Lankan market. In his past roles, he has been CEO & Business Head for different circles of telecom companies such as Vodafone Idea Ltd and Vodafone India Ltd.

In his session, he shared with students as to how they should leverage on their time in a reputed institute and carve a niche for themselves in the industry. He mentioned the importance of building discipline and creativity in the way students do things.

His session concluded was flooded with questions that he answered patiently to ensure that all students benefitted from his experience.

Topic: Legal Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management

Session Brief:
An Advocate by profession, Nilanjan started his career with the Supreme Court of India as a Law Clerk and Research Assistant to the Hon'ble Judge. Thereafter he joined CPA Global, the largest Intellectual Property Management Company in the world and consulted clients on their Intellectual Property requirements. Nilanjan has worked with companies such as Lexplosion Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a premier Compliance and Risk Management organization; Ernst and Young LLP (EY) as a Manager - Risk Advisory Services for the Technology, Media and Telecommunication Unit (TMT) and specialized in Statutory Compliance and Internal Audit for clients.

His current responsibilities as the Head of Legal, include functions of an in-house Legal Counsel on a variety of matters ranging from Drafting and Negotiating client contracts, providing internal consultation on HR and Employment law matters, assisting on Regulatory compliance relevant to the company and all other ancillary legal matters.

It is this vast experience of his that he got into the session with students of the school of law.

Prashanth pursued B. A. LL. B. from National Law School of India University, Bangalore, is an advocate and Solicitor, Senior Courts of England & Wales.

His session was very insightful to students as Prashanth took them through aspects of foreign investments in India and the legal framework around investment policies and procedures.

Session Brief:
Shadman is a postgraduate in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from XLRI, Jamshedpur. He has 12 plus years of experience in Human resources across Indian conglomerates such as ITC, Aditya Birla Group and Pidilite.

Shadman is based in Mumbai where his current assignment is as Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) for the Consumer Products Division in Pidilite. He is focussing on implementing a new Performance Management system and strengthening the ways of working.

Driven by passion in the field of organizational development Shadman shared his experience with students on their preparation for a rewarding career as they pursue MBA. He walked the students through stories about his career across various companies.
