The session was very informative and interactive. Students had an opportunity to listen and understand the importance of interview preparedness and its importance and to equip themselves for the placement season.

The session captured details on how students should prepare for the Aptitude round, online test round, technical round, personal HR round particularly during the pandemic situation.

Mohan spoke at two occasions to students of business and engineering. The sessions were very informative to the students on interview readiness and on the scope of digital technologies. The sessions focused on staying positive, career aspects, preparing to take on placement processes both in general area and in the area of digital technologies.

Ram Kumar Warrier is an alumnus of Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies and has a rich experience of more than three decades in retail, media and consumable sectors.

In his session on career planning, he could explain and illustrate the benefits of up-skilling, learning, and focusing on objectives to build successful careers. The audience appreciated the examples he shared form his own life experiences, which they could relate to easily.

He helped students by explaining the importance of short –term planning, keeping the long-term objectives in focus, and the importance of understanding individual strengths, in career planning.

The question and answer session was interactive, enjoyable and was appreciated by all participants.

Session Brief:
Parveen Mahtani is acknowledged as one of “Asia’s Top 25 In-House Counsels” by the Asian Legal Business. She has worked with companies like Tata Housing, Wadia Group and Lodha builders.

The informative and interactive session covered many the aspects of the Real Estate law including, impact of RERA, laws related to the land titles, legal sanctions required, labour related legal issues, rent law related challenges of the industry. The session helped to clear a lot of questions on the future and the aspects of the real estate industry.

She also gave insights of how legal careers in the real estate industry work and how students should plan their legal careers to reach greater heights.

Dennis is the Google Practice Head at Wipro. His area of expertise is workplace transformation and collaboration. Dennis lives and breathes cloud which he calls a lifestyle rather than technology.

The session revolved around the way Google technologies are shaping the modern world. He empahsised on areas of GCP, Google Applications, mobile solutions, and its use in different areas resulting in technology transformation.

He also spoke about the data connectivity network that Google has built globally to facilitate organizations and individuals with connecting its various technology platforms.

Session Brief:
Shailesh joined Schindler as an Account Manager for Elevator Sales and now is a part of Schindler India Management Team currently handling all India Operations along with P&L responsibilities. He has also worked with Bharat Bijlee Ltd.

The session was very informative and interactive. Students had an opportunity to listen and understand how a core manufacturing company like Schindler had managed to stay profitable even during the pandemic. The session covered topics like career progression, employee initiatives, business development, research & development.

Students had question about the virtual operations process in construction, the employment opportunities during this situation. He also helped students understand the career prospects in manufacturing industry. The session ended with a great round of question and answers between him and the participants.

He stressed on the fact that cloud is future as it gives users high accessibility and scalability, and how almost all technological advancements were slowly moving to be accessible on cloud.

Mathangi is a renowned data science leader in India. She has 11 Patent grants and 20+ patents published in the area of intuitive customer experience, indoor positioning and user profiles. She is adept in machine learning, text mining, NLP technologies & tools. She has built data sciences teams across large organizations like Citibank, HSBC, GE and tech startups like 247.ai, PhonePe.

In her session with the students, she spoke on a variety of topics around data science, machine learning, algorithms, data visualization, data mining and interpretation. She stressed on how basic mathematical skills and programming skills help a person become more conversant in the area of data sciences.

Students had many questions of how data science could be a rewarding career for them. Mathangi shared her own lessons and stories on how she has gone from being a business graduate to becoming a data science leader.
