Industry Leaders Alliance 2026, Future-ready Talent: Powered By Industry & Academia












Alliance University organised Industry Leaders’ Alliance 2026 at Hotel Conrad, Bengaluru, bringing together leaders from academia and industry for meaningful dialogue. The event focused on the theme of future-ready talent and the role of collaboration between industry and academia. The programme provided a platform for discussion on innovation, skills, and the changing demands of the professional world.
The evening commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Ray Titus, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Incubation and Innovation) and Dean, Alliance School of Business. He welcomed the distinguished speakers, industry representatives, and guests, and spoke about the importance of building strong connections between universities and organisations. He emphasised the need to create opportunities that support innovation, entrepreneurship, and practical learning.
TThis was followed by the inaugural address delivered by Dr. Priestly B. Shan, Vice Chancellor, Alliance University. In his address, he spoke about the responsibility of higher education institutions in preparing students for a rapidly evolving economy. He highlighted the role of collaboration in ensuring that students are equipped with relevant skills and knowledge.
Dr. Ramana Reddy, Retd. IAS and Chairman of the Karnataka Skill Development Authority, then addressed the gathering. He spoke about the importance of skill development initiatives and the need to align education with industry requirements. His address focused on strengthening the connection between policy, education, and employment opportunities.
A fireside chat on the theme ‘Education Meets Innovation: Building Future-Ready Talent for a Disruptive Economy’ formed a central part of the programme. The discussion featured Mr. Rabindra Srikantan, Chairman of CII Karnataka State and Founder and Managing Director of ASM Technologies, and Ms. Shalini Sankarshana, Managing Director of Planview India and GCC Council Member – NASSCOM, Karnataka Region. The session was moderated by Mr. Abhay G. Chebbi, Pro Chancellor, Alliance University. The panellists shared their perspectives on emerging industry trends, the importance of adaptability, and the value of continuous learning. They discussed how institutions and organisations can work together to create practical exposure and build capabilities that respond to technological and economic changes.
An open house discussion followed, led by Dr. Ray Titus. Participants engaged in a thoughtful exchange of ideas and raised questions related to innovation, employability, and industry engagement. The session allowed for direct interaction between students, faculty members, and industry leaders.
The programme concluded with closing remarks by Dr. Basaralu Sudarshan, Chief Industry Officer, Alliance University. He reflected on the discussions of the evening and reiterated the University’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with industry. The vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Surekha Shetty, Registrar General, Alliance University, who expressed appreciation to the speakers and guests for their participation and contributions.
The event concluded with a networking dinner, providing attendees with an opportunity to continue conversations and build professional connections. Industry Leaders’ Alliance 2026 reflected Alliance University’s ongoing efforts to engage with industry stakeholders and to support the development of future-ready talent through collaboration and dialogue.
