We, the Editors, are delighted to introduce the International Journal of Law and Social Sciences (IJLS), the flagship double-blind peer-reviewed International Journal of Alliance School of Law, Alliance University, Bengaluru.

The previous Issue of IJLS (2022), Volume 8, Issue 1 having both print and electronic ISSN numbers, is indexed in J-Gate, Manupatra and SCC Online and holds great potential for Academicians, Practitioners, Research Scholars, as well as students from all over the world to enhance their research skills and to propel multi-faceted research in the various fields of law.

As in the previous volumes, this present volume also bears contributions from varied experts who have focussed on many of the contemporary issues and challenges that society faces and have made very intriguing findings and suggestions. This is in alignment with the objectives of the Journal, which is to examine the various dimensions of social transformation and analyse its impact on various issues of legal significance.

We express our gratitude to the Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor and the Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University, as well as to the Editorial Advisory Board for their continuous support and inspiration in making this Edition possible. We gratefully acknowledge the services of the esteemed members of the Peer-review Panel for their continuous help and assistance in reviewing all the articles on time.

We also express our gratitude to all our valued contributors for their valuable and commendable contributions towards the completion of the Journal. The contribution of each of the members of the Editorial Board is acknowledged.

We are hopeful that the readers will find the volume extremely insightful and further invite academic and scholarly research contributions to the succeeding volumes.
