Sustainable Development Goals

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of 17 goals established by the United Nations to address social, economic, and environmental challenges facing the world. The SDGs were adopted in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity.

The 17 SDGs cover a wide range of issues, including poverty, hunger, health, education, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, decent work and economic growth, industry, innovation, and infrastructure, reduced inequalities, sustainable cities and communities, responsible consumption and production, climate action, life below water, life on land, peace, justice, and strong institutions, and partnerships for the goals. Achieving the SDGs requires the collective effort and cooperation of governments, businesses, civil society, and individuals worldwide. Governments, authorities, communities must work together to create policies and programs that promote sustainable development. While businesses must adopt sustainable practices in their operations and supply chains, civil society organizations and individuals can also play a crucial role by advocating for sustainable development and practicing a holistic approach to support global goals.
