Quick Pick on a project in focus from Center of Excellence

Crate Track — RFID-Based Pay-Per-Crate Agricultural Storage System

Developed by Alliance University students MBA – Semester II students of ISOM department – Ashlyn Chryssandra Andrew, Chandan Vasudev, Jay Raut, and Abraham Lenus, Crate Track is a smart warehousing solution being designed to modernize India’s agricultural cold chain. The system aims to replace rigid block-based storage with flexible, crate-level RFID tracking and pay-per-crate pricing making formal storage accessible to smallholder farmers. Currently in development, the proposed model projects significant gains in fleet utilization and operational efficiency, with strong potential to reduce post-harvest losses across India.

Activities and events 2025 and 2026 :

Workshop – Supply Chain Network Optimization using AnyLogistix
A full-day workshop on Supply Chain Network Optimization using AnyLogistix was conducted on 13th December 2025 for 37 ISOM Semester 2 students as part of the Logistics and Supply Chain Management course, led by Mr. Ayanangshu Das, Senior Manager at Kohler India. The session provided hands-on experience in modeling, simulating, and optimizing supply chains, enabling participants to understand data-driven decision-making for facility location, capacity planning, and transportation optimization.

FDP – Odoo ERP Module – Training

A two-day FDP on Odoo ERP was conducted on 27–28 March 2026 at Alliance University with participation from internal and external faculty, led by trainers from Odoo India, focusing on hands-on implementation of ERP solutions and integration of business processes. Participants built end-to-end eCommerce and retail platforms, culminating in group presentations, and the learning was further extended into classroom teaching to reinforce experiential ERP-based project management skills.

FDP – DELMIA Quintiq
Advanced AI-powered solution for end-to-end supply chain planning, leveraging virtual twins to optimize operations, logistics, workforce, and resilience. Conducted by industry experts from Dassault Systems India on 11th August 2025.

Workshop – Statistical Discovery for Industrial Problem Solving: Leveraging AI/ML and Explanatory Models – Data to Decision using JMP®
A hands-on workshop on “Statistical Discovery for Industrial Problem Solving: Data to Decision using JMP®” was conducted for faculty members, PhD scholars, and MBA students by Dr. Muralidhara A from the JMP Global Team on 23rd June 2026. The session introduced participants to JMP, a powerful visual and interactive statistical software widely used in academia and industry for data analytics and decision-making. The workshop covered key topics such as Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), statistical thinking, regression and correlation analysis, predictive modeling, machine learning, and data visualization. Participants gained practical exposure to no-code AI/ML capabilities, automated model screening, and interactive analytics through hands-on exercises and real-world case studies. The trainer also demonstrated how JMP supports research through advanced techniques such as Design of Experiments (DOE), multivariate analysis, and deep learning applications. The session was highly interactive and enabled participants to appreciate the role of AI-driven analytics in solving complex industrial and research problems.
