Alliance University’s Happiness Club organised "Threads of Us", an open-mic event that brought students together to reflect on relationships, friendships, and the idea of belonging. The event created a space where students could express themselves and engage with shared experiences in a thoughtful and open environment.
The session featured a range of performances, including singing, poetry, and personal storytelling. Students shared their perspectives and experiences, allowing the space to be shaped by emotion, creativity, and honest expression. The format encouraged participation and created opportunities for dialogue around the complexities of relationships.
Through these interactions, students engaged in conversations about communication, understanding different perspectives, and building meaningful connections. The discussions also highlighted the importance of setting boundaries and approaching relationships with empathy. The event encouraged students to view vulnerability as a part of personal growth and connection rather than a limitation.
"Threads of Us" contributed to a sense of community by bringing students together through shared experiences. It provided a platform for reflection and exchange, reinforcing the value of openness and mutual understanding in navigating relationships and building connections.
