Alliance University observed National Science Day 2026 with a series of academic activities organised by the Department of Physics. The event brought together students through a science exhibition and a quiz competition, creating a space for learning and engagement. It aimed to encourage students to explore scientific concepts beyond the classroom and understand their practical relevance.
The exhibition featured more than 25 live demonstrations, where students presented and explained key principles from areas such as electromagnetism, optics, electronics, and classical physics. These demonstrations allowed participants to engage directly with scientific ideas and observe how theoretical concepts operate in real-world situations.
From visualising magnetic fields to understanding optical fibre communication, the event provided opportunities for hands-on learning. Students were able to connect theory with application, which helped deepen their understanding of scientific principles.
The celebration highlighted the importance of curiosity and inquiry in the study of science. By encouraging students to observe, question, and explore, the event reinforced the idea that science becomes more meaningful when it is experienced and understood through active engagement.
