The Department of Marketing, Alliance School of Business, organised Managerial Maestro (Best Manager) on 6 October 2025. The event, hosted by the student club Marketrix, was designed to identify and celebrate managerial excellence among students across all schools of Alliance University.
The competition aimed to test participants’ academic knowledge, stress management, communication, analytical thinking, and overall presence of mind. It also encouraged students to integrate their learning experiences in a practical and time-bound environment.
The Competition Structure
The event witnessed participation from 48 students, out of which 12 finalists qualified for the final rounds. The competition comprised four stages that evaluated different aspects of managerial capability.
The first round, Fastest Finger First, featured a business quiz with 50 questions. This round was won by Mr. Sourav Choudhary, MBA Semester I. The second round, Case Study Analysis and Solution, focused on Coca-Cola’s Strategic Use of Social Media Insights and was won by Mr. Rakshith Kumar C, MBA Semester I.
In the third round, titled The Most Powerful Pitch, participants presented persuasive business ideas, with Mr. Rakshith Kumar C again emerging as the winner. The final round involved Relaunching a World-Class Product in an Innovative Way, where finalists demonstrated creativity and strategic thinking in product positioning.
Learning Through Engagement
The event attracted an audience of over 300 students and faculty members. It provided both participants and spectators with valuable insights into effective management, decision-making, and leadership. The sessions highlighted the importance of balancing academic understanding with practical skills such as communication, business acumen, and teamwork.
The judging panel included Dr. Indu Sharma and Dr. Sandeep Shede, who evaluated the finalists based on their performance across all rounds. The interactive nature of the event also allowed audience members to engage with the participants through critical questions, adding a collaborative learning dimension to the experience.
Winners and Recognition
After an intense day of competition, Mr. Rakshith Kumar C, MBA Semester I, was declared the Best Manager. Mr. Gautam Yadav, MBA Semester I, and Mr. Anmol, BBA V Semester, secured the second and third positions respectively.
The Managerial Maestro event successfully combined learning and enjoyment, reinforcing the importance of applied knowledge and adaptability in management education. It reflected Alliance University’s ongoing commitment to fostering experiential learning and professional growth among its students.
