Hands-on Excel for Data Analysis Session Builds Practical Skills at Alliance University
01 February, 2026

The Hands-on Excel for Data Analysis session, organised by the Infinity Club in collaboration with DoSSS at Alliance University, brought together 131 students for an interactive learning experience focused on practical data analysis. The session was designed to introduce participants to the effective use of Excel as a tool for analysing and interpreting data in academic and professional contexts.
Through an application-driven approach, the session moved from fundamental concepts to guided, hands-on problem-solving exercises. Students were introduced to essential data functions, analytical techniques, and structured methods of working with datasets. The format encouraged active participation and allowed learners to apply concepts in real time.
By combining foundational understanding with practical exercises, the session aimed to strengthen data literacy and analytical thinking. It provided students with skills that are relevant not only to their academic coursework but also to industry expectations in data-driven environments.
The initiative reflects Alliance University’s continued emphasis on equipping students with practical competencies that support both academic development and professional readiness.
