Educational Visit to NGMA and Science Gallery Bengaluru Encourages Experiential Learning
09 April, 2026

Learning extends beyond the classroom when students engage with environments where ideas are explored and experienced in real contexts. With this approach, the Department of Fine Arts, School of Liberal Arts at Alliance University organized an educational field visit to the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) and Science Gallery Bengaluru.
The visit was designed to provide students with a deeper understanding of art, context, and interdisciplinary perspectives. At NGMA, students explored modern and contemporary Indian artworks, gaining insight into artistic movements, techniques, and the cultural narratives reflected in the works on display. The experience allowed them to observe how art evolves in response to social and historical influences.
At the Science Gallery Bengaluru, students interacted with exhibits that addressed themes such as ecology, urbanization, and society. These installations encouraged critical thinking and highlighted the connections between art, science, and everyday life. The exposure helped students understand how creative expressions can intersect with broader societal issues.
The visit created an opportunity for students to connect theoretical knowledge with lived experiences. It supported the development of observation, interpretation, and creative thinking by placing students in spaces where ideas are actively explored.
Through such initiatives, Alliance University continues to encourage experiential learning that helps students engage with subjects in a meaningful and contextual manner.
