CodeVeda Hackathon 2026 Brings Together Innovation and Collaborative Problem Solving at Alliance University
18 March, 2026

Innovation in technology finds direction when ideas are shaped through collaboration and real-world challenges. At Alliance University, CodeVeda Hackathon 2026 created a space for students to engage with this process by developing solutions that respond to contemporary global needs.
The hackathon was organised by the Microsoft Azure Developer Community Club in association with the Alliance School of Advanced Computing and the Department of Student Support Services. The event brought together 32 teams and 115 participants, creating an environment that encouraged creativity, technical application, and teamwork.
Participants worked on developing technology-driven solutions aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The themes explored during the hackathon included areas such as AI-powered urban mobility, personalised learning systems, and workforce risk intelligence. These themes allowed students to approach real-world concerns through the lens of innovation and digital capability.
The event was conducted through multiple evaluation rounds, allowing teams to refine their ideas and improve their solutions at each stage. The hackathon concluded with final presentations, where teams presented their work before an expert panel. The process ensured a structured and fair assessment of each project.
The valedictory ceremony marked the conclusion of the event, where teams were recognised for their efforts and performance. A special award for the Best Girls Team was presented to Team Innowave, comprising Preethi S, Pooja VP, and Rani Haleema. The first place was awarded to Team Trio, with members Ashu Singh, Arpita Sinha, and Paritosh Singh. The second place was secured by Team Ctrl + Innovators, represented by Saniya Ilma, Charan G, Preetham Shetty, Dhanya M, and Muskan Kumari. The third place was awarded to another team named Ctrl + Innovators, comprising Manav Nagpal, Kaaysha Rao, Hashish Infant D, and Shashank K.
CodeVeda Hackathon 2026 reflected the importance of collaborative learning, critical thinking, and the ability to apply technical knowledge to real-world contexts. The event highlighted how innovation becomes meaningful when it is guided by purpose and shared through collective effort.
