From concept to cloud, learning met real-world applications at Alliance University through an engaging technical workshop focused on cloud computing. As part of its continued efforts to connect academic learning with industry practice, the Microsoft Azure Developer Community Club, in association with the Alliance School of Advanced Computing and the Department of Student Support Services, organized Cloud Quest, a hands-on workshop designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of cloud-native development.
The session was led by Ms. Suchitra Nayak, Technical Project Manager – Microsoft Engagement at Tech Mahindra, who guided students through the essential aspects of building, deploying, and monitoring cloud-native applications using Microsoft Azure. The workshop provided practical insights into cloud services, system architecture, and development workflows, helping students understand how modern applications are designed and managed in real-world environments.
Students actively engaged with the tools and concepts presented during the session, gaining exposure that extended beyond classroom learning. The workshop created an environment where theoretical knowledge was applied in a structured and practical manner, allowing participants to explore the possibilities of cloud-based solutions.
The session also encouraged students to approach problem-solving with a cloud-first mindset. It supported the development of technical skills while prompting students to think about innovation and application in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Through initiatives such as Cloud Quest, Alliance University continues to provide students with opportunities to engage with current technologies and industry practices, supporting their academic and professional development.
